Reports submitted on Scam Detector are not official police reports. If you have fallen for a scam, please file an official police report.

Reporting keeps our loved ones safe

If you have encountered a potential scam, report it to us so that we can monitor ongoing scams effectively. Through reports, Scam Detector can:

• Alert authorities to potential scam phone numbers. Once reviewed, numbers suspected as scams will be added to Scam Detector 's blocklist. This means you'll be helping all Scam Detector users receive less scam calls or messages.

• Train our classifier with new data on emerging scams, which strengthens its ability to detect potential scams for everyone

• Protect other Scam Detector users from receiving the same suspected scam as you.

How it works

1. Let Scam Detector know if you would like to report a number or message.

2. Provide Scam Detector with the relevant suspicious content. For call reports, this includes details like who was on the call, and who they claimed to be; this helps us assess if it's a potential scam. For message reports, the enhanced Scam Detector app now supports uploading message screenshots for ease of reporting.

3. After you submit the report, Scam Detector alerts the relevant authorities to review it. Numbers marked as scam will be added to Scam Detector 's blocklist for all users.
